Time Warner Cable adds HLN and Turner Classic Movies in HD
According to viewer reports and their own website this morning, Time Warner Cable has just added two of its promised slate of new HD channels.
Turner Classic Movies HD is now available on channel 1276 and Headline News (HLN) HD is now on channel 1351.
The website notes that both channels are part of Time Warner's HD Plus package, a tier available at an extra charge which houses channels without a standard-definition counterpart, such as MGM HD and Smithsonian Channel HD.It is unknown whether this notation is an error, or if Time Warner is starting to break away from its 'free HD' marketing. This appears to be an error, as the channels are available to subscribers without the HD Plus package.
Turner Classic Movies HD is now available on channel 1276 and Headline News (HLN) HD is now on channel 1351.

Time Warner Cable promising at least 10 new HD channels by year's end
After a drought of HD channel additions in the last several months across all pay TV providers in the area, Time Warner Cable is promising at least 10 new HD channel additions by the end of the year.
In a pamphlet posted online related to their upcoming channel reorganization, Time Warner says "before the end of the year, more HDs are coming, including ESPNU HD, Disney XD HD, Cartoon Network HD, BBC America HD, Turner Classic Movies HD, E! HD, AMC HD, Outdoor Channel HD, Headline News HD and FOX Business HD."
No word on when these new channels will be added, what packages they'll fall into or whether other channels are planned.
The pamphlet also breaks out what digital channels will fall into each of the new digital cable channel packages, though pricing is not specified.
