Time Warner Cable rolling out remote DVR services, local ETA unknown

TWC Remote DVR

Time Warner Cable is finally playing catch-up to other providers who already offer remote DVR scheduling, but when Northeast Wisconsin can expect to see the functionality is still unknown.

On their blog, the cable operator announced the rollout of the long-teased remove DVR services, and gave an advanced glimpse into how the service will work.  But unfortunately for customers in the Green Bay / Appleton footprint, no estimated date was given for a rollout in our area.

Is Time Warner adding local broadcast channels to Start Over?

Start Over

Time Warner's "Start Over" feature now appears to be available on NBC 26 HD.

We're not sure how long this has been available, but we first noticed a "Start Over" popup last night after watching "Parenthood" on channel 1007.  This appeared on both our Time Warner DVRs both last night, and again this morning during NBC's "Early Show."

It does not appear that the "Start Over" feature has been enabled on other local broadcast channels, at least in the HD channel space.
