HD Olympic Coverage Stinks

I have been on vacation till this evening an have missed high def Olympic coverage. I sat down this evening to watch some of the gymnastics coverage on NBC26 (TWC ch. 707) and I was stunned as to how terrible the HD feed was. I could see all sorts of pixalization and it just looked not at all up to my expectations. Anyone noticed this o is it just me?

Some events seem to be

Some events seem to be better than others. The water events get very pixelated for me.

Welcome to NBC HD everyone!

Welcome to NBC HD everyone! Looks just like NBC's Sunday Night Football, terrible. I wish ABC/ESPN would pick up the olympics.

I have the same problem

I have the same problem with. Swimming is real noticable for me. Also anything Red seems to do it as well. Although the red always happens on NBC for me. No other stations, just NBC.

Yes, it's pixelated OTA,

Yes, it's pixelated OTA, too. Maybe it has to do with broadcasting HD live from China?

And for the person with DISH, you probably have the same issue, but maybe haven't noticed it, yet, since OTA has the same issues others are seeing.

I don't think it has to do

I don't think it has to do with being live from China, but rather with NBC sticking with 1080i as their broadcast format. It's a horrible format for sports. FOX and ESPN both do 720p and both look fantastic for football.

I have a TV that is 1080p. I

I have a TV that is 1080p. I have noticed that the sports look better in some ways in 720p than 1080i. Is that what everyone else has experienced as well? With 1080i I get a lot of blurring. I only have 60 MHz but I don't think it would cause that much of a problem.
