I posted this in the antenna forum but it should probably go here as well...
I've been to 2 different RadioShacks (Oshkosh & Plymouth) and both have tried selling me UHF-only antennas claiming that all stations are going to UHF after the Feb deadline. This is false! One tried explaining that with DTV, channels get re-assigned to their "familiar" channel number. So Fox, who is broadcasting at 51 (692 - 698 MHz) currently, will be re-assigned to 11 after the switch (what he told me). While this is somewhat true (channel numbers can be re-assigned), Fox is actually returning their broadcast to VHF channel 11 (198-204 MHz). Take a look at the FCC licenses:

Fox 11 is the only station in this area that will be VHF. If you don't watch Fox 11, you may be fine (some UHF antennas will pick it up if you're close enough).
