Willscary: I would be happy with the main HD channel and a single EDTV (DVD quality) widescreen sub-channel. The bandwidth needed for widescreen EDTV would not be enough to seriously affect the quality of the...

Haven't applied for them and
Haven't applied for them and probably won't because I will always be connected to a service provider. But, before you venture out and search call up the retailers to find out if they have them in stock. Both Circuit City and Best Buy and Green Bay have had short supplies, and generally only get new shipments in every other week. Walmart has had a steady stock, and their Magnavox unit is $10 cheaper than any other out there now. Although, Magnavox's unit doesn't allow programming the remote for you're TV so you'll be stuck with two remotes with that unit (one for TV, one for converter box). Also CC's Zenith unit and BB's Insignia unit are exactly the same except for the name and the packaging. Both are made by parent company LG.
