Anyone know if Charter in Fond du Lac scrambles all digital/HD channels except Telemondo/UW-FDL/FDL Schools/and the PayPerView promo channel? Am I doing something wrong in setup? I set TV to scan analog and digital for standard cable. My QAM tuner can not find/map anything digital that is unscrambled - except these channels.
Am I only able to get a digital signal thru their set top box? Other forums I visit tell of finding the local "life line" HD stations when mapping/scanning for channels with Comcast or Time Warner or Charter someplace else - I find nothing like this. I can view only analog stations with a couple of digital junk stations.
I got a feeling I need to rent a digital box.

Ran set up scan several times and now QAM found most the digital & HD life line stations but - I am missing G4 and a couple of others - I'll keep running the scan now and then to see what appears.
I wonder if your signal
I wonder if your signal strength is low, if you only find channels after several scans. Do you have many (or any) splits in your cable line?
I have the one entry line
I have the one entry line split into Line One and Line Two. Line One goes to my first floor TV (non-LCD/STB/non QAM tuner TV) and Line Two then gets split to five to cover my 2nd floor (where this QAM tuned TV is at).
Instead of receiving signals from the five way splitter - I think I am going to move the QAM tuner line to the first split to see if that helps the strength to the QAM tuner.

That sounds like you're
That sounds like you're probably losing a good amount of signal strength with those splits, probably 10 db or more. That's probably what's causing the wonky QAM tuning.

Sorry I did not respond back sooner - but I hooked up direct and scanned and have figured out that Charter in Fond du Lac must scramble all digital channel signals except locals as I get Milwaukee and Green Bay locals including PBS digitals. Charter doesn't scramble HD locals, Green Bay weather or retro channel, or VOD. I have one digital box downstairs and now find I need to get another box to watch upstairs all the channels I am paying for in the digital package. This scambling now makes sense or anyone with a QAM tuner would watch all the available digital channels for free. Thanks for helping.
