Does anyone know when the Viacom HD channels were to launch? I came home from work tonight and my Tivo HD had the Viacom HD channels listed in the guide. I tried to go to them, but it wouldn't tune in. I know sometimes my Tivo can be a little flaky tuning to channels properly. It also wouldn't be the first time that a channel was added to the guide before Time Warner actually launched that channel. Does anyone have these channels in NE Wisconsin yet, or has Time Warner not launched them yet?

I would guess they might roll
I would guess they might roll them out tomorrow.
I think the last time they did a channel rollout, the night before, those channels appeared down between the last and first channels in the guide. I usually look there for any weird activity, and tonight I'm seeing BTN (assuming Big Ten Network) at channel 1776. Haven't noticed any channel in that range before so I'm wondering if something's going on there.
Also, they seem to like to roll new channels out on Thursdays, so tomorrow may be a possibility.
Didn't see them this morning,
Didn't see them this morning, so obviously my hunch was wrong. I did notice BTN on 1776 was gone though. Wonder what was going on there.
Well I take that back, they
Well I take that back, they are out of my guide today. I guess someone dropped the ball. I'll keep an eye out though.
Just got upgraded to
Just got upgraded to Navigator. Entered some of the Viacom channels with a 1 in front just for fun, with interesting results:
1103 Displays as Nick HD screen says unavailble
1250 Displays as MTV HD shows Paladia programming
1252 Displays as VH1 HD but shows as unavailable
1207 Dispalys as Comedy Central HD seems to be playing SD Commedy central
1206 Displays as Spike HD but is not showing anything.
None of them show up in the guide or if you scroll through the channels. Also I tried adding 1000 to some non-Viacom channels and it tuned to the nearest channel, so it appears to only be the Viacom ones.
I don't recall that being the case before the upgrade, but i could have missed it. Perhaps it is a good sign of things to come.
I know I thought this to be
I know I thought this to be true last week too, but I think we may see the Viacom channels come tomorrow, or at least very soon.
I sort of discovered a little back door way of seeing channels that exist but don't list in the guide. I was checking the settings this morning and one I wanted to adjust was the "power on channel" under "display" in the settings. If you go there, you see at least two channels that exist in Navigator but don't list in the guide. Channel 1900 is a diagnostics channel, which shows information that used to be only visible to installers when they pressed a combination of buttons on the front of the box. Another is channel 1925, which is an "install" channel, which I don't know what it's for yet.
Listed as channels are 1254 (CMT), 1252 (VH1), 1250 (MTV), 1216 (BET), 1207 (Comedy Central), 1206 (Spike), and 1103 (Nick).
I would be surprised if it's very much longer before those channels go live.
After Navigator took off, I
After Navigator took off, I punched in those numbers and I didn't get channels for them anymore. So we might not getting them as soon as we thought we were.
Last I saw online, these
Last I saw online, these channels were active in test mode up in the 1900s down in Milwaukee, so hopefully that's a good sign. I can't confirm if they are active here or not; I can't see the 1900s on my TiVo.
Last I heard, in Milwaukee, MTV-HD is testing on 1960, Comedy Central-HD is testing on 1961, Spike-HD is testing on 1962, BET-HD is testing on 1963, Nick-HD is testing on 1964, VH1-HD is testing on 1965, and CMT-HD is testing on 1966. I would assume it'd be the same here since the two divisions were merged, but again I can't see the 1900s on my TiVo. FYI.
Check your channels (1103,
Check your channels (1103, 1250, 1252, 1206, 1207). Viacom HD ones have been added. Just not on the guide.
