For Time Warner Cable customers, it's November. For AT&T U-Verse customers, it's looking like February 1st is becoming the magic day each year when prices creep upwards.
Just like they did last year, AT&T is upping prices on U-Verse services, according to Multichannel News. The increases affect TV, Internet and Voice services, though in different ways depending on whether you're a new or existing customer.
Those subscribing to the lower-priced TV packages U100 and U-family will go up by $5. U200, U300 and U400 tiers will creep up $3. The U-basic tier with only a handful of channels won't change from its current $19 a month rate.
If you're looking to get U-Verse with Internet, you may want to act soon depending on what speed you seek. Internet rates will go up on new customers on the lower-speed tiers, increasing by $5 per month for Express, Pro and Elite packages. However, AT&T is dropping rates on its higher-speed "Max" tiers by $10. The 12 Mbps Max tier will cost $45, the 18 Mbps Max Plus will go to $55, and the recently-launched Max Turbo at 24 Mbps will drop to $65.
U-Verse Voice Unlimited will jump $5 per month, but the Voice 250 plan will remain unchanged.
