Northeast Wisconsin cable customers are no strangers to channel negotiation controversies in recent years, whether it has been that of local broadcast stations like WLUK or major channel programmers like Viacom and HDNet.
Signaling possible ugly carriage contract disputes on the horizon, Time Warner Cable is now asking customers to choose between their favorite channels and their wallet, by voting in their "Roll Over or Get Tough" campaign.
Customers are seeing commercials asking them to visit Time Warner's new website RollOverOrGetTough.com and let them know whether they think the cable operator should pay channel provider's rising asking prices or hold the line on cost and potentially lose channels.
On the website, Time Warner claims that they may see carriage rates rise "up to 300%" when contracts come up for renewal.

The cost of Time Warner is
The cost of Time Warner is largely based on what their competitors are charging. TW generally posts profits of 1.1 billion dollars - they are not going to pass anything on to the customer - they will charge what they can in order to make the most money.
This campaign is intended to influence customers to offer Time Warner a pass for bad programming - don't do it. Tell them to "roll over" and offer the same programming as their competitors.
