So every now and again watching the wires for new news, I see an article about such-and-such HD channel now available on Time Warner Cable, but upon reading it, it's only in their New York division, where they're trumpeting their 100-or-so HD channels to compete with Verizon FIOS. I don't know for sure, but I would think that if they have the rights to those channels there, they'd have them elsewhere across the country too. So I checked to see which channels TWC NY has that we don't (excluding local broadcast/sports networks, and those TWC has already announced will soon be added here). These are what I came up with...

There are a number of channels on that list I would love to have, but they haven't yet made it our way. What I found even more curious is why they don't have any of the Viacom HD channels like Comedy Central, considering they went through a messy and public contract negotiation with them recently, and HD channels should have been part of it.
Which of these would you want them to add here?

I'd like to see them all, but if I had to choose a few, I'd like to have Weather Channel HD And the other offerings of the premium movie channels. I'd like to see TWC at least competitive with U-Verse on the number of HD channels offered. Right now TWC's HD offering is a joke.

I'm with you there. Would love to see more of the HBO channels in HD, and IFC HD would be nice too. Love that we're getting AMC and Turner Classics HD for sure!
