Time Warner Cable lets MGM HD roar on channel 720

Rarely does a lion slip by so quietly.

We are receiving reader reports tonight that Time Warner Cable has slipped MGM HD into their lineup on channel 720.  As of this writing, Time Warner's website has no official indication of the channel addition.

The channel, launched in October 2007, "features movies from MGM's library of approximately 1,200 movies filmed in a high definition compatible format as well as feature films from their library of 4,100 theatrical titles," according to its Wikipedia entry.

The addition and its timing is no surprise considering MOJO, another HD-only channel on Time Warner's premium HD tier, is shutting down December 1st.  It is believed that the channel will replace MOJO in the premium HD tier.

A listing of movies playing on MGM HD is available on their website.

Is this available on

Is this available on Directv, DISH, U-Verse, Charter? If it is, is there "Closed Captioning" on which ever one it's on? There are recent movies, which I viewed on HBO or SHO, etc, which had the captioning, but I don't see any captioning available
for any of the movies for TWC's MGM HD.

Is there an valid MGM HD

Is there an valid MGM HD contact telephone, FAX, or eMail source to express concern on the no Closed Captioning? It's like MGM thinks the hearing impaired can't afford HD TV's or think that they should be able to lip-read. They'd be appalled to know the number of hearing-impaired HDTV owners able to afford HD TV's and also to realize how many H-I really don't need MGM, either. MGM is not the only show in town.
