AT&T giving away Guitar Hero World Tour with select Internet, U-Verse plans
For those about to order AT&T, we salute you.
AT&T has announced a promotion in partnership with Activision in which customers who sign up for select high-speed Internet or U-Verse plans can snag themselves Guitar Hero World Tour for their favorite consoles, after a mail-in rebate.
According to their press release, "AT&T is now offering a rockin' deal to qualifying AT&T customers. Those who purchase new AT&T High Speed Internet or qualifying new U-verseSM TV plans will receive the Guitar Hero World Tour Complete Guitar Game, which includes the Guitar Hero World Tour console game and a new guitar controller. To sign up for service and get the game, customers can visit a participating AT&T retail store or call 800-288-2020. For more information, visit www.att.com/guitarhero."
The twist -- the game will feature AT&T branding in three of the game's concert venues. AT&T Wireless customers will also have access to mobile game "enhancements."

The Guitar Hero World Tour
The Guitar Hero World Tour game is free after mail-in-rebate. If ordered in a retail store, you would first purchase the game and receive a rebate form to fill out.
Demo's of the game will be in select stores as well, such as the retail store in Bay Park Square.
I know you probably don't
I know you probably don't have that kind of sway, but if AT&T could get around to lighting up the Grant Street area of De Pere west of 41 soon, I'd sure appreciate it :) There's a couple big fiber cables laying dormant up around that area, including one sticking sideways out of a crossconnect box down the street. Hopefully that area gets worked on soon!
If only existing customers
If only existing customers could get in on that somehow. :-) Oh well
Correction on this. I
Correction on this. I called ATT today because I am getting Uverse at the end of January. This is only valid on DSL service only and not Uverse.
