OK, as it looks like I'm UVerse-less and not likely to afford my cable bill much longer, I'm back in the hunt for a usable antenna.
Right now I have a 40" boom rooftop antenna from Radio Shack propped up near the ceiling in my spare bedroom, with a 50" or so RG6 coax cable run around baseboards of my apartment, split off for two tuners at my Media Center PC. It works... OK, but not great. I'm on the third floor of an apartment building facing southwest, with some possible obstructions between me and the towers. I can't put an antenna outside of my apartment at all. The only way this antenna seems to be working for me is within a seemingly narrow window of space in my spare bedroom.
Any thoughts of what antenna might be needed to get better results, or advice on how to better utilize what I have now? Amplifiers or something?
