Update 1: Indications are Time Warner Cable is backing away from the plan in all markets. "In the face of enormous community opposition and at Schumer’s urging, Time Warner will shelve the plan for all of their test markets," Schumer has stated in a prepared statement to be released shortly. Time Warner Cable is expected to issue an announcement sometime this afternoon.

That TWC...they must really

That TWC...they must really care for their customers. Cancelling their cap tests because customers don't understand why its okay for them to rip them off. I can't wait to be "educated" by them on the evils of streaming video. Funny how they blame the customer's education, but they don't blame their ridiculously low usage tiers. A 1GB lower tier and a 40GB standard tier...doesn't take a genius to figure out that those are 60-99% lower than the competition!

I think this issue is long from over. I bet TWC implements a nation-wide watchdog on internet usage, where they hound you with phone calls and emails every month you go over 40GB. TWC will probably also supply everyone with a meter, so 80% of the customers will see that they are no where close to the cap. Then they'll revisit this and hope the number of complaints will be lower, but they WON'T! Especially if they offer these ridiculously low tiers.

Attention all TWC investors: the company needs new leadership...the company is wasting time (& customers).

Keith: It looks good to me. Obviously a great improvement over what it was. I like the colors, the bug on the right with the simple temp and time, the panning out, and the text scroll at the bottom....
TvBoy: Damn, For as long as it took to get that thing launched, I was pretty disappointed. Not that impressive. Better than the last set, but not worth the price paid.
