Has anyone heard if Time Warner will be adding any new HD channels before the end of July like they did at the end of May and June? I thought I saw something somewhere here on FCTV early in the month about USA, Sci-Fi, and one or two others... but maybe I was just dreaming.

Supposedly, on July 29th they'll be adding the following:
USA HD
Bravo HD
SciFi HD
CNBC HD
Personally, Bravo and CNBC I could do without, but I think they're adding them mainly because of NBC Universal's expanded Olympic coverage. (I don't think SciFi is doing Olympic coverage but it's part of the NBCU roster of HD channels so why not?)
What I'm curious about more than these new additions is where TWC is going to be going with new HD additions after this. The last word I got on new HD channels was for these last three monthly additions, but nothing announced going forward.

I guess what I ultimately want from TWC is optional sports packages in HD (specifically the MLB & NFL packages like DirecTV offers) and the Big Ten network. While it's great that they're not charging extra for HD (not entirely true since you have to rent a box to get it), they could easily get more money out of me by offering those sports packages in HD.
I totally agree with the HD
I totally agree with the HD for sports packages. I notice that the MLB package, offered through inDEMAND, does designate some games for HD and they show up on the TWC channel lineup, hower the games are not in HD. I think getting Versus in HD for hockey is a plus, but TWC needs to do more. I pretty much given up hope that they will ever get the NFL Network, however TWC of NE Wisconsin may be the only TWC outlet that does not carry the NHL Network. Why is this?
Just received a "Road Runner
Just received a "Road Runner Speedy Gram" from Time Warner Cable and in it they had the following HD Channels listed as "Coming Soon": Fox News HD, CNN HD, Hallmark Movie Channel HD and Science HD. If these are indeed the channels we can expect at the end of July, I may not even wait until the end of August to switch to DirecTV (I was waiting to see if TWC would get FOX-HD or the Big Ten Network). Quite frankly, they could not have picked four more unwelcome HD channels for me if they had tried. At least I hope they made someone else out there happy with those choices!
That's the one thing I discovered about TWC in the 20+ years I've been a customer - they never fail to disappoint.
