I just noticed this week that WFRV is airing some top of the hour ID spots, ads for their news team, and programming schedules (NCAA Tournamment games as I noticed) in High Definition. It looks like they got the HD cameras and graphic equipment down pat. They once again show that they are the only station taking big strides to take advantage of the new digital age. The other area stations may want to get their acts together.

I noticed the top of the hour IDs in HD but not the other stuff. Are you sure they're shooting HD? I imagine they could shoot standups with SD cameras and put them into an HD graphics background. I would love to see them ease into HD production and news. Hopefully that was part of their larger investment when they redid their control room.

I saw a promo for a go kart in HD.. and one with Tammy Elliott sitting in the studio. It really jumped out at you and looked great. I HOPE their news goes HD.

OK, just saw one with Erin Davisson in studio and on location somewhere, so they at least have one HD camera. Wonder if they've got studio cameras yet.
