Have anyone else had this happen to Survivor? I know its set to record on my DVR, but for the past 3 weeks, I have had to go get it "elsewhere" to watch it when I wanted to watch it. Appears I'm not alone. CBS may be blocking Survivor from recording. tommy

For as long as it took to get that thing launched, I was pretty disappointed. Not that impressive. Better than the last set, but not worth the price paid.

Interesting. I've never had an interest in Survivor myself, but I'll have put put it on my TWC and Media Center DVRs to see if this happens to me.
I would have thought that maybe people had their recording set to "new episodes only" and CBS didn't list the new ones as "new," but that article says they set it for all episodes.
Weird. I hope this is not intentional, and REALLY hope it's not the trend.
No problems here on my Tivo
No problems here on my Tivo Series3. I have it set to "First Run Only" and they (new ones only) still record. Based on that, I assume that the metadata is correct (at least the pieces that Tivo uses). However, I also have it set to "Keep Until I Delete" so maybe there is some kind of metadata that drives deletion time...and that's being overridden by this setting.
My girlfriend and I have
My girlfriend and I have both had lots of problems with Survivor not recording. To me, it seems TWC keeps listing survior as different names, "Surivor", "Survivor: Micronesia", "Survivor: Fans vs. Favorites", etc. I make sure to check each week and each time it's not set to record I make sure to record it under the new name. With this method my HD DVR has never had a problem recording channel 706. My girlfriend however, with an SD DVR, did have Survivor not record once even after she checked it. It seems to be a problem with TWC, not CBS. Oh yeah, Survivor will be in HD come this fall!
Survior wasn't going to
Survior wasn't going to record again for me tonight. It just said "survivor" for tonights show. I caught it though and will be watching it shortly sans commercials.
